It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Albert Ellison, son of the late Robert and
Maggie Ellison of Red Mesa, UT. A man of steadfast faith and quiet strength, Albert has gone
home to be with the Lord, joining his beloved wife, Genova Ellison, and his brother, Rev. Tom
Ellison Sr. in Heaven.
Albert’s life was a testament to God’s Word. His legacy lives on through his children: Ben Harvey,
Pastor Alfreda (Kevin) James, Pastor Arnold Ellison, Alisa Ellison, and Arnelda (Harry III) Shorty,
and in the lives of his grandchildren: Vanessa, Savannah, Reva, Cheyenne “Chey”, Tashina
“Sissy”, Isaiah (Tyra “My Angel”), Isaac “Muscles”, Joi, Myles “My Barber”, and Mia, great-
grandchildren: Amari “Nali” and Baby Randall-Slim, and grand-cat: Dallas.
He leaves behind a loving family who carry on his heritage of faith and values: his brothers, Pastor
Udell (Heather) Ellison and Marvin Ellison, and his sisters, Rose (Tom Sr.) Ellison, Julia (Lee)
Skeet, Clara (Max) Denetdale, Maxine Ellison, Lita Ellison, Corrine Ellison, Vernadell (Richard)
Howard, Jennifer Ellison and his many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Albert’s unwavering devotion to the Lord and his deep love for his family will never be forgotten.
He planted seeds of faith that continue to grow in the Ellison family and beyond.
The celebration service will be held on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Daily Church,
805 Saguaro Trail, Farmington, NM. Following the service, interment will take place at Memory
Gardens Cemetery. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM at
Time Has Come Church, 400 E Gladden Dr, Farmington, NM.
He is in the care of Desert View Funeral Home of Shiprock, NM.
