Christine J. Dale
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Christine J. Dale, on July 1, 2026, at the age of 77. Her kindness and warmth touched everyone who knew her. She built her life around love, family, humor, and caring for others. Her generosity, strength, and gentle spirit will never be forgotten. Christine was born on November 30, 1948, in Naschitti, New Mexico, to Wayne and Linda Jim.
As a person, Christine’s love for Christ never waned or withered. She was a strong follower and a prayer warrior. A devout Christian, she was deeply dedicated, active, and had a sincere relationship with Jesus Christ. Her daily life was shaped by her strong faith, with her actions and character reflecting the teachings and love of Christ. Because of her faith in Jesus Christ, we have the promise that this goodbye is not forever. As Scripture reminds us, "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." She finished her race with courage, and now she rests in the presence of her Savior.
Christine was part of the athletic program at Crownpoint Community School for over 40 years, dedicating much of her life to serving her community through education and athletics. She began working at Crownpoint (Crpt) Boarding/Community Schools on September 6, 1977, where she spent decades influencing and shaping the lives of student-athletes. She was known for her meticulous attention to fundamentals, player development, and long-term program building. She emphasized discipline, work ethic, and character, often mentoring student-athletes both on and off the court. Her leadership style was patient, direct, with a no-nonsense approach, methodical, and deeply committed to creating a winning culture. As an athletic specialist, she served as a coach, counselor, dorm assistant, school administrator, transportation assistant, and was certified as a high school official referee for volleyball. Working with student-athletes was a big passion of hers. She’s well known throughout the Native communities in the Four Corners region for her strict regimen, drive, grit, and competent athletic program. After an impressive career in education and managing the school's athletic program, she retired in May 2014.
