Tribal Services

If you are worried about how to finance your loved one's funeral, we also work with the Navajo Nation's Indigent Burial Assistance Program. If you qualify, this program may help ease your financial burden.


Families in need of assistance may apply for the P.L. 93-638 Funeral Assistance, which is administered by the Navajo Family Assistance Services (NFAS), a program under the Navajo Nation Division of Social Services (DSS). Documents needed to apply are as such:


-Certificate of Indian Blood

-Valid Photo I.D. or Driver’s License

-Social Security Card

-Verification of Income

-Verification of Residency
